Historian, archaeologist, and writer based in Wyoming. I am currently the Assistant Curator at the Cody Heritage Museum and owner of Hoffman History and Archaeology as an independent contractor. My interests include the prehistory of the American West, the fur trade era, hard rock mining, and historic trails in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. I also enjoy the prehistory of Scotland, England, and Ireland. I am a contributing author to the history series As It Was on Jefferson Public Radio, co-author of Astorians: Eccentric and Extraordinary and Sunlit Trails, and author of historical articles in the Cody Journal and Cody Living.
